Perfectly Imperfect Story

Following a childhood where we were encouraged to play outside, explore, experiment, create, camp - always with our dogs in tow - I am so happy that I have been able to continue to enjoy these things into my adult life and create a selection of body care products using simple ingredients.

I always enjoyed making lotions and potions as a child - perfume from rose petals, scrubs from salts and lavender buds, creams from the saps of plants, lipstick from beetroot (and red Smarties!), face packs and foot soaks with anything from cucumbers to ground coffee.

And then grown-up life took over - I had three lovely children, lots of gorgeous dogs and a few different jobs over the years. It was great fun but my buying habits did not align with my youthful experimental ways, and I grabbed chemical laden bathroom products from the shops like most other people.

A few years later, after buying a small cottage in the rural Suffolk countryside, I had more exposure to nature and more space to align my life to my core values.  So, I decided to leave my job and scratch my creative itch.  I started making soaps and body care products, this time reading books, watching YouTube videos and attending courses to hone my craft – it was addictive and I have been truly hooked ever since!

My products are made in small batches using mainly natural ingredients. Because of this, each product is unique and perfectly imperfect!  The natural colours and fragrances may fade in time, although their properties should remain.  Depending on where the ingredients originate from, what time of year they were harvested, how rich the soil was and what the growing region’s weather was like, will all have an impact the finished product and will cause the products to vary from batch to batch.

Our products are:

Made using mainly natural ingredients

We use as many natural ingredients as we can in our products because we feel your skin as well as the planet benefits from this.  We have chosen natural ingredients that have a proven track record of being beneficial for the skin.

Not tested on animals

We love our animals!  We never test our products on animals and have had our formulations approved by chartered chemists who can scientifically prove that they are safe for use. We always test them and use them on ourselves first!
